Personalized Art Lessons — Private or Small Group
At Tumbleweeds Art Group, lessons are rooted in a consistent studio practice where students build skills over time while developing their own creative voice through exploration, experimentation, and guided instruction.
Designed for children and teens, our lessons nurture artistic interests, technical skills, and creative confidence through personalized one-on-one and small group instruction. Students work across a wide range of mediums—including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, embroidery, and fashion design—while projects are thoughtfully tailored to their individual interests, goals, and developmental stage. Whether a student is just beginning or looking to deepen their practice, lessons are designed to encourage curiosity, build strong artistic foundations, and support long-term creative growth.
Students seeking specialized admissions guidance for arts high schools or college portfolios are encouraged to explore our Portfolio Development program.
Details
Lessons are scheduled by semester: Fall/Winter, Winter/Spring, and Summer
Private and semi-private instruction available
All ages. Children and teens will be grouped by age and developmental level
Customized curriculum designed around each student's interests, goals, and skill level
Exploration across a variety of fine art and textile mediums
Individualized instruction in a supportive studio environment
Focus on both technical skill-building and creative exploration
All materials are provided
During the school year, students attend one consistent lesson each week
Summer scheduling is flexible, with the option to attend multiple sessions per week
Evening availability during the school year:
Mondays beginning at 5:00
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays beginning at 6:00 PM
Studio location: 117 Dobbin St., Greenpoint/Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Rates
1 Hour Sessions
Private (1 student): $100
Semi-Private (2–4 students): $75 per student
1.5 Hour Sessions
Private (1 student): $150
Semi-Private (2–4 students): $110 per student
