After-School Art Classes

Does your child love to explore and create art? Join Tumbleweeds for our after-school art program! In this class, your child will join a small group of kids for a private program, which will meet on a weekly basis. The kids will work closely with the instructor and receive plenty of attention and guidance with their artwork. The after-school art lessons & projects will cover a wide range of techniques including, but not limited to sculpture, printmaking, painting, drawing, mixed-media, fiber art, recycled art, earth art, classical art, decorative art, and so on! We will begin each class with a lesson and discussion based on our weekly topic then on to our structured project. There will be time to wind down at the end of class and have free drawing time as well as go over what we have learned from that day.

  • Classes run from 3:00 until 5:30 (drop-off after 3:00 is also fine) - Tumbleweeds is a drop-off program - no pick-up

  • Ages 4+ (pre-k +) - kids will be grouped age appropriately

  • Classes are small for plenty of one-on-one attention

  • All materials provided

  • Classes run Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays - Sign-ups are for one day a week.

  • Limited spots are available! Maximum 6 kids per class.

All Winter/Spring 2025 After-school classes will run every week except where there is a Holiday/School Closure:

Tuesdays: 17 weeks - February 4th - June 10th // $1955 for the entire semester // * No class on February 18th & April 15th

Wednesdays: 17 weeks - February 5th - June 11th   // $1955 for the entire semester // * No class on February 19th & April 16th

Thursdays: 16 weeks - February 6th - June 12th // $1840 for the entire semester // * No class on February 20th, April 17th & June 5th

All Fall/Winter 2025/2026 After-school classes will run every week except where there is a Holiday/School Closure:

Tuesdays: 16 weeks - September 9th - January 27th // $1840 for the entire semester // * No class on Sept 23rd, Nov 4th, Nov 11th, Dec 23rd, & Dec 30th

Wednesdays: 18 weeks - September 10th - January 28th // $2070 for the entire semester // * No class on Sept 24th, Dec 24th & Dec 31st

Thursdays: 17 weeks - September 11th - January 29th // $1955 for the entire semester // * No class on Oct 2nd, Nov 27th, Dec 25th & Jan 1st.

One-on-one / Private or small group art lessons

Currently scheduling for evenings only!

Designed for children and teens, these lessons focus on nurturing their artistic interests, skills, and techniques. We offer personalized one-on-one and small group lessons covering a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, sewing, embroidery, fashion design, and more. We tailor each lesson to your child's specific interests, ensuring a customized curriculum that fosters their creativity and growth. Additionally, our one-on-one and small group sessions can be tailored to support portfolio development, providing comprehensive guidance for young artists.

  • Lessons are scheduled by the semester: Fall/Winter & Winter/Spring

  • All materials provided

  • Rates vary and will be based on your customized lesson(s) / $85 for a private hour lesson or sliding scale if the lessons go beyond an hour and/or consist of more than one student.

  • Currently scheduling for evenings starting at or after 6:00 PM during the school year

  • Flexible Summer availability
