Summer Art Camp 2014
July 7th-25th- 3 separate weeks of camp
Monday-Friday 9am–3pm
Immerse your child’s imagination into the world of creation!
Spend your summer making art with Tumbleweeds. Camp will be hosted in a beautiful studio located inside Greenpoint’s wellness center- Awakening NY, located right down the block from the McCarren Park Playground.
Each day we will work on two structured art projects, free art time to draw as well as meet and share where we will discuss our artwork! There will also be outdoor snack time & playtime in the morning at McCarren Park (weather permitting) and lunchtime in the afternoon. Painting, sculpture, printmaking, fiber art and recycled art are just some examples of what the kids will be getting their hands on!
Each week of camp we will be exploring many themes such as- artists and their styles, early decades of art, art for fun as well as different artistic theories and techniques. The camps will guide the children to experience all areas of art, allowing them to gain an all around appreciation of the many possibilities of the art world as well as improve their technical skills and knowledge of art and it’s history.
